Directors & the Executive team

Darryl Swann

Executive Director

Darryl founded Computer Concepts in 1990.  He was the company’s very first employee, an IT engineer and established the standard of what a great IT engineering business should be. His focus on high quality engineering, relentless service and value soon started get customers attention. After forming a partnership with Bruce Abel in 1992 the two have successfully built CCL up to the company it is today, delivering a wide range of IT services to a customer base of several thousand customers.

Today Darryl operates across the CCL, Co-Location and SNAP companies as well as working with the Executive team on key strategic initiatives and customers.

Bruce Abel

Board Director

Bruce joined Computer Concepts as a Director in 1992 and has worked alongside Darryl since then building up the business. Bruce brought a wealth of process and operational expertise to CCL. Over 19 years Bruce built up the accounting, administrative, operations and human resource functions to what they are today managing a vast number of staff, customers and transactions.

Today Bruce operates both at a Board level and across key strategic initiatives with the Executive team.

Andrew Allan

CEO / Director

Andrew has held a number of senior management roles in the IT and Telecommunications industry prior to taking on his role with CCL.  He brought a wealth of IT and Telecommunications experience into the CCL executive team around sales, networks, strategy, and service delivery. In particular Andrew brought significant expertise around procurement, after building arguably the best performing and largest procurement function in NZ in less than five years.

Andrew’s hands on, high energy approach to leading the business is a great fit for such a dynamic industry and dynamic business.

Alan Leigh

Director Sales & Marketing

Alan held a number of senior management roles in both the IT and Telecommunications prior to his appointment with CCL. Over the last decade he has operated as the CEO of a European Telematics company, GM Business Marketing for Vodafone and a consultant on developing Cloud propositions.

Alan brings strength and focus to a number of areas around marketing, sales and strategy with his experience having developed several sales and marketing models for IT companies from scratch.

Alan sits on the CCL Board.

Mike Bevin

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Mike joined CCL after several years working for KPMG as Associate Director of their Advisory division. Mike brings both day to day and strategic financial experience to the executive team. He lead a business advisory team as well set up and implemented a strategic plan to grow the practice.

Mike has dealt with a wide range of businesses ranging in size and industry types. His services included annual compliance, but more focused on the advisory services around obtaining growth, building profitability, and assisting owners to both build strategic plans and achieve objectives for their businesses. He will bring focus to the firm as it implements its growth plans.

National and Regional Management Team

Geoff Gale

National Client Relationship Manager

Geoff joined Computer Concepts in October 2001 as a Service Delivery Manager and transitioned to the role of National Client Relationship Manager.

Geoff brings to Computer Concepts extensive sales development, consulting and project management expertise. With a mix of IT, business management and marketing skills combined with excellent customer management, Geoff continually looks for new opportunities for CCL and our clients and works closely with our team of Client Relationship Managers.

Jason Fazackerley

National Projects Manager

Jason joined Computer Concepts in 2005 as the Service Delivery Manager for the developing Nelson office. Jason has subsequently transitioned to the role of National Projects Manager and is based in Christchurch.

With both business and technical knowledge, Jason offers over 15 years of Information & Technology experience to the Computer Concepts Project Management Team. His responsibilities range from developing, establishing and standardising Project Management methodologies throughout the business to managing complex technical solutions with our clients. Jason is ITIL certified and a member of the Project Management Institute.

David Aydon

National Engineering and Contracts Coordinator

David joined Computer Concepts in 2006 as a Microsoft Systems Engineer. Since then he has undertaken the role of Service Delivery Manager in Christchurch before moving into his current role. David’s attention to detail and process driven attitude allow him to ensure that the engineering teams across the company function in harmony, delivering excellence to all clients.

Greg Carter

Auckland Branch Manager

Greg joined Computer Concepts in 2009 as the Auckland Branch Manager.

Greg has been in IT sales for over 18 years in the Auckland market. Greg brings to Computer Concepts a wealth of sales experience and knowledge from previous organisations in roles of Senior Account Management, Sales Management and National Account Management. Greg believes the ingredient of success in business today is only by your input will you determine the output.

Paul Capstick

Nelson Branch Manager

Paul joined Computer Concepts in 2005 initially as a Microsoft Systems Engineer and prior to his recent appointment to Branch Manager also held the role of Regional Client Relationship Manager. Paul draws upon his experience in engineering, sales and client management roles in order to emphasise Computer Concepts’ commitment to ensuring that a balanced approach is given to the provision of quality solutions, and exemplary service delivery.

Paul Hammond

Christchurch Branch Manager

Paul joined Computer Concepts in 2007 as Business Development Manager.

He has been in the IT industry for seven years. Prior to that he ran his own import, export, manufacturing and distribution businesses for over 25 years which included executive positions on national industry organisations.
Paul brings a wide range of sales and administration skills and really enjoys being involved in the dynamic and innovative environment that marks the success of Computer Concepts.

Tony Dunstan

Dunedin Branch Manager

Tony brings strong business acumen and a wealth of commercial experience to the role of Regional Manager with CCL. During the ten years prior to his joining the company, Tony was engaged as a Business Consultant and provided advice and guidance to companies across a diverse range of industries. This work covered areas such as strategic planning, business development, operations management, and service delivery. Prior to this, Tony held a number of senior sales, services and marketing positions in both the IT and the telecommunications industries.
