By General News No Comments

CCL are proud winners of two key awards at the Reseller News ICT Industry Awards, one of New Zealand’s most prestigious technology industry awards.

CCL was awarded ‘Cloud Partner of the Year’, an award designed to recognise New Zealand’s leading homegrown solution provider, helping NZ businesses transition traditional IT infrastructure into the ‘Cloud’. CCL was also achieved highly commended runner up awards at the event in a further 3 categories: Enterprise Partner, Best partner performance initiative and Homegrown Innovator – Service Provider.

Greg Urquhart, CCL Business Development Manager, also celebrated individual success, being awarded the coveted Channel Champion Award, designed to identify and applaud those who are deemed to be giving the most back to the community and the world at large, awarding an individual who has, outside of their daily working life, been heavily involved in working with charities, not for profits or in personal philanthropy.

“Wining these two awards is a point for real pride for us” said Darryl Swann, CCL’s Founder and Managing Director. “They reflect both the pride and passion we have in what we do and the incredible people that work at CCL. It’s incredibly exciting and humbling to be recognised as a leader of the New Zealand technology sector in such a public way.

“To be awarded the homegrown innovator award for Cloud Partner of the Year is something we are incredibly proud of. We have invested ahead of the curve over the past few years to bring the best of global Cloud Computing to New Zealand businesses. To be recognised as ‘Cloud Partner of the Year’ is testament to the whole CCL family, our staff and our amazing clients.

“We are exceptionally proud of our South Island heritage and strong southern presence, so to have this recognised with such a prestigious Nationwide award is really quite humbling.

“This award is one the whole CCL team will be celebrating. We have a talented team and passionate team at CCL, they work exceptionally hard to deliver above and beyond for our customers, and this award is really a reflection of their pride, skill and professionalism.

“That brings me to Greg. I think I speak on behalf of everyone at CCL when I say that Greg’s enthusiasm and passion is infectious and inspiring. He puts so much time and energy into improving the local community so it’s fantastic to see him recognised in this way. His presence in the local community and involvement in many major community events and projects makes him a real asset to the local community here in Canterbury [and to] CCL.

“CCL is incredibly supportive of my work, allowing flexible working hours, and letting me officially work 4 days a week.” said Greg Urquhart. “Working for a company that has an extremely high social conscious makes it is so much easier to balance the job I love with my passion for the local community. All of CCL, and in particular Darryl Swann and Andrew Allan who both share the same passion for others; whether it be work colleagues in need, or members of the local community”.

Urquhart is well known around Canterbury for his involvement in a range of charity and sporting organisations and events. Most notably Urquhart has been on the TEDx Christchurch event organising committee for the past 5 years (NZ’s longest running TEDx) and he co-founded the East Lake development trust which is working to deliver a world class sport and recreational lake in Christchurch’s eastern Red Zone.

CCL’s latest awards continue their winning streak, following last months win at the Champion Canterbury awards sponsored by the Press.

“We were genuinely surprised and very humbled by the Champion Canterbury win” said Andrew Allan, CEO, “it is such a prestigious event and it is an award we take incredible pride in. To follow that Canterbury success up with a pair of nationwide industry awards is simply unbelievable and tops off what has been an amazing year for CCL.”

CCL celebrated their wins in front of almost 300 ICT industry leaders who gathered in Auckland to celebrate the 2015 Reseller News ICT Industry Awards.

By General News No Comments

New Zealand — August 4, 2015 — Dell today announced Computer Concepts Limited (CCL) as its preferred partner for business IT equipment in New Zealand’s South Island. The deal came into effect in February this year.

The move follows similar agreements in other markets worldwide and builds on Dell’s existing PartnerDirect Program, meaning partners and customers can now access Dell’s products even more rapidly.

Dell has selected CCL as their partner based on its strong reputation in the market as a trusted and capable, client focused partner.

“Dell is continuing to invest in the channel, and partnerships with channel partners like CCL increase our ability to pursue our long-term strategy, providing customers with the best choice, solutions and support,” said James Arnold, New Zealand General Manager.

“We’ve seen Dell transform its business model over the years to a multi-channel approach, which creates value for partners. We’re seeing Dell really embrace the New Zealand market in terms of its channel strategy which has created a great opportunity for us,” said Andrew Allan CEO of CCL.

“Dell subsequently proposed a channel model in the South Island, which included migrating some existing Dell clients over to a channel partner. This has helped us maintain the independence we require and we have complete confidence in the portfolio we will be offering from Dell,” Allan added.  The onboarding and training provided by Dell has enabled us to bring our team up to speed quickly and we now have a dedicated Dell team with Dell’s products successfully integrated into our portfolio of offerings.

The majority of Dell customer’s identified for transition have done so with CCL investing in a dedicated team of Dell experts to make this transition smooth for existing and new customers.
