CCL has been recognised by IDC as a Major Player in Asia Pacific Managed Cloud Services.

CCL, NZ’s premier Multi-cloud and IT services provider, has been recognised by the IDC MarketScape as a Major Player in Asia Pacific (Excluding Japan) Managed Cloud Services.

“As cloud technologies introduce next-generation capabilities, IT leaders are rewriting their strategies to transition data centre-centric IT enablement to more agile, multi-cloud models. CCL’s investment in cloud partnerships and IP ensures we are strongly positioned to help our clients access critical advice, skills, and resourcing to deliver resilient hybrid cloud architectures. We believe the IDC MarketScape positioning of a Major Player is recognition of our ability in this space and a welcome acknowledgement of our demonstrated capabilities in these areas,” said Heather Graham, CEO of CCL.

According to Louise Francis, Research Director, IDC New Zealand, “In IDC’s recent assessment of managed cloud service (MCS) providers New Zealand’s CCL was identified as a Major Player in the Asia Pacific region, despite its relatively small footprint. This announcement is significant recognition of the strength and maturity of New Zealand’s cloud services market, which draws its strength from an agnostic and partner driven approach to cloud services.”

Graham said the IDC MarketScape’s recognition complemented CCL’s expertise in digital transformation, security, managed services, and end-user compute, covering critical bases and scenarios to drive customer success in the hybrid cloud.

She also observed that as clients increased their workloads in the cloud they sought more nuanced support to better control costs, improve governance, and minimise risks – a development that was driving the emergence of a shared responsibility model for cloud services.

“We’re seeing speed and agile ways of working in the cloud, but once organisations have adopted cloud platforms, governance, cost control, security, and ongoing evolution of those platforms are required to ensure they meet ever-changing needs,” Graham said.
